Well, it does make it easier when I can just turn into a cloud of bats in order to get places quickly. [Lenore smiles in greeting, and leans back, settling in to enjoy Sypha's company. She wants so very much to be liked by the speaker, and she's a little bit nervous about it.] I'm glad you came. It's nice to meet you in person.
[There's a small nod from the Speaker. She can understand being fond of what one already has. After all it wasn't as if she was lacking when it came to power herself. Lenore's next question has her eyes shifting to the side for a moment, as she considers her answer. Had she been settling in well?]
...Not particularly.
[The culture shock is still getting to her and while Trevor had helped her fulfill what was required by this place...she still was having a hard time coming to terms with it all. The technology all around her was new, far beyond her scope of understanding, and while she was never one to shy away from learning or a challenge it was still a lot. Money was going to be an issue and she needed to find employment. Doing shows with her magic at a theatre in the Down was well and dandy but it wasn't something she could live on, especially now that she felt obligated to help Alucard. Soon she'd have to do the same with regards to Trevor as well.
Needless to say, she's been feeling quite overwhelmed.]
[Lenore nods, sympathetic but also genuinely interested.] Will you tell me about it?
[There's no pressure, but Lenore can offer a listening ear and possibly a helpful point of view. Though she may be a submissive and with none of the same problems, Lenore imagines that she may still be a more sensible sounding-board than their beloved male companions.]
[Sypha isn't one to complain about her problems but she also isn't emotionally constipated like her two companions either. When asked about how she feels she'll usually open up.]
Well...it is a lot to adjust to. Culturally. Technologically. I am still trying to get a grasp on my surroundings and what is expected of a person in my position.
[As a Dominant certain things were expected of her, not to mention she was responsible for Alucard and soon to be Trevor. She had to figure out a way to support the three of them - not just herself.]
Then there is the other part of what this city seems to thrive on. Admittedly it makes me uncomfortable.
[Trevor was helping her which was appreciated, but it definitely made her stomach twist in quite a few ways. Butterflies mixed with a bit of guilt so to speak.]
[Shameless libertines, huh? That gets a small smirk out of the speaker as she sets her eyes back on the other woman.]
Perhaps that is exactly why I am having such a difficult time, no? What liberty does a place like this afford a nomad such as myself? We have liberty of the mind and of thought, not so much what we do with our bodies. Those we do not share as liberally as our opinions.
[Basically she's been kind of conservative when it comes to getting handsy and with good reason. At least, there had been good reason before she arrived here. A sigh follows her words.]
It isn't doubt that I have per say, but rather frustration. I do not do well in a cage, no matter how large it may be.
Nor do I. Our captivity here bothers me, to be sure.
I have been fortunate to have enough other pleasant advantages and distractions that I can tolerate our city-sized cage, and ... I have long since gotten accustomed to having requirements upon my body.
Have you ... partners who please you? [Lenore's expression is empathetic and worried. She's happy to offer assistance, if Sypha needs it.]
[The question brings a tinge of pink to the Speaker's cheeks, gaze averting for a brief moment. The look Lenore gives her doesn't exactly help her embarrassment - if anything it only serves to deepen it.]
I have Trevor...he promised to help me and he's done so. Other than him however no, I do not.
[But she didn't really need anyone else, did she? It wasn't as if she was planning on sleeping around.]
If you ... need or require further assistance... [Lenore quirks her lips as she takes a sip of her drink, leaving the implication dangling in order to further Sypha's blush.]
I'm sure you won't have any difficulty. Beautiful, witty, capable women like yourself, well. I'm sure that I'm not the only one whose heart quickens at the sight of you.
[Such a proposition wasn't something she was expecting by any means. It wasn't as if she would turn down Lenore...it just wasn't an option she had even thought to entertain. Her face grows hotter by the second. Compliments are nice but she's not used to them.]
I will be sure to let you know if that becomes the case.

[She says it with a smile but there's truth behind her words. It would be an incredibly handy means of travel.]
It's nice to meet you as well.

It is a lot to adjust to. But you are so obviously competent. Why do you doubt yourself?
