The displeasure I have comes with the fact I killed a friend's father - the only family he had. I take no joy or pride in that. The loss of knowledge comes second to that.
The three of us are friends. Companions, who I trust with my life. We went on an adventure together and in doing so forged a bond.
It's very new to me, but the stimulation is enjoyable, and I like how they serve it as a dessert sometimes. The plain black version is a bit too intense for me.

[Once the details are settled, Lenore makes her way to their little rendezvous. She chooses a long gown with veils to make her feel as though she has something to hide behind. The speaker may not necessarily be a vampire slayer, but she has certainly killed vampires and that makes Lenore skittish.
Settled on a plush chair beside a low 'coffee' table, Lenore spoons daintily at her affogato as she waits.]
Well, it does make it easier when I can just turn into a cloud of bats in order to get places quickly. [Lenore smiles in greeting, and leans back, settling in to enjoy Sypha's company. She wants so very much to be liked by the speaker, and she's a little bit nervous about it.] I'm glad you came. It's nice to meet you in person.
[There's a small nod from the Speaker. She can understand being fond of what one already has. After all it wasn't as if she was lacking when it came to power herself. Lenore's next question has her eyes shifting to the side for a moment, as she considers her answer. Had she been settling in well?]
...Not particularly.
[The culture shock is still getting to her and while Trevor had helped her fulfill what was required by this place...she still was having a hard time coming to terms with it all. The technology all around her was new, far beyond her scope of understanding, and while she was never one to shy away from learning or a challenge it was still a lot. Money was going to be an issue and she needed to find employment. Doing shows with her magic at a theatre in the Down was well and dandy but it wasn't something she could live on, especially now that she felt obligated to help Alucard. Soon she'd have to do the same with regards to Trevor as well.
Needless to say, she's been feeling quite overwhelmed.]
[Lenore nods, sympathetic but also genuinely interested.] Will you tell me about it?
[There's no pressure, but Lenore can offer a listening ear and possibly a helpful point of view. Though she may be a submissive and with none of the same problems, Lenore imagines that she may still be a more sensible sounding-board than their beloved male companions.]
[Sypha isn't one to complain about her problems but she also isn't emotionally constipated like her two companions either. When asked about how she feels she'll usually open up.]
Well...it is a lot to adjust to. Culturally. Technologically. I am still trying to get a grasp on my surroundings and what is expected of a person in my position.
[As a Dominant certain things were expected of her, not to mention she was responsible for Alucard and soon to be Trevor. She had to figure out a way to support the three of them - not just herself.]
Then there is the other part of what this city seems to thrive on. Admittedly it makes me uncomfortable.
[Trevor was helping her which was appreciated, but it definitely made her stomach twist in quite a few ways. Butterflies mixed with a bit of guilt so to speak.]
[Shameless libertines, huh? That gets a small smirk out of the speaker as she sets her eyes back on the other woman.]
Perhaps that is exactly why I am having such a difficult time, no? What liberty does a place like this afford a nomad such as myself? We have liberty of the mind and of thought, not so much what we do with our bodies. Those we do not share as liberally as our opinions.
[Basically she's been kind of conservative when it comes to getting handsy and with good reason. At least, there had been good reason before she arrived here. A sigh follows her words.]
It isn't doubt that I have per say, but rather frustration. I do not do well in a cage, no matter how large it may be.

[And, true to her word, Sypha saunters into the café about an hour later, dressed in her unmistakable Speaker robes. She hasn't seen the point in going shopping for something else to wear and so she's sporting what's most familiar to her.
